CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- Former Clarke County High School standout Tara Fields has been named to the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) third-team all-conference women's basketball squad.
Fields, a junior guard at Wilson College, led the squad in scoring this season with 17.2 points per game. That ranked third among NEAC players.
A 5-foot-4 guard, Fields eclipsed the 1,000-point scoring plateau in a Feb. 4 game against conference rival Keuka College. Fields now has 1,110 points for the Phoenix.
Defensively, Fields led Wilson with 3.7 steals per game. That also ranked third among conference players.
"I am excited and very proud of Tara," Wilson coach Angie Grove said in a news release. "She works extremely hard, and she deserves this recognition for her efforts."
